Our Approach

How We Work

Publishing, design, and the finishing details aren’t three separate services. They’re three expressions of one belief: that hard-won experience and design thinking, executed with care, make better work and better experiences.

01

Publishing Smarts

We’re drawn to collectors and creators motivated by genuine passion. We don’t publish books about objects, we publish catalysts for inspiration. Over time, significant collections are shaped by intriguing individuals with taller tales to tell. We tailor our publishing and design approach based on your collection, audience, marketing, and distribution goals.

02

Design Smarts

Art & Anthropology Press began as the publishing arm of our design studio in Newburgh, NY in 2023. The design studio itself was founded in Denver, CO in 2001, at the start of a high-tech, economic-development, and cultural boom. With over 25 years of design experience across evolving industries, we’ve helped clients navigate the highs and the challenges they’ve faced. Field experience and design thinking inform everything we make.

03

Craftsmanship

We’re all about the details and user experience: thoughtfully designed, beautifully produced, and executed with care to ensure the final product represents the caliber your organization deserves.
