The Studio
A design studio, an independent press, and a curated bookshop — known for community involvement, public art, experimental printmaking, and strategic design, writing, and consulting.
About Us
For over 25 years, Art & Anthropology Press has helped organizations gain clarity and confidence around their brand — and, as an independent press and bookshop, published and curated the books and objects we believe in.
We’re known for our community involvement, service on public art committees, experimental printmaking, and providing our clients with strategic design, marketing, writing and consulting services.
Our goal is to help you streamline your marketing efforts and confidently speak to your current and prospective customers. When you’re ready to discuss your project, we’ll work 1:1 to develop a project scope that best suits your expectations.
Art & Anthropology has been featured in numerous publications such as Print & HOW magazines, Mistakeism, Art of Promotion, and Touch Graphics: The Power of Tactile Design.
A sampling of our past and present clients includes Cornell University Law School, City of Ithaca, Klocke Estate, Denver Commission on Cultural Affairs, History Colorado Center, The Fullerton Newburgh, Kanoa Transportation and more. Our clients represent a broad range of industries located in New York, Colorado, California, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico.
Our Design Process
We define the specifics of the proposed project, clarify financial investment, and distinguish between wants and needs.
We take a closer look at your audience and industry to identify differentiators. In-depth analysis defines your niche and highlights any gaps.
The creative team assembles for brainstorming, exploring directions from both aesthetic and strategic points of view.
Design concepts are presented for critique and dialogue between Art & Anthropology and our client.
After directions are approved, final files are prepared and released to the chosen vendors. We conclude with a project review.
Our Values
Whether it’s teaching, strategizing, or designing, we’re always looking to make an impact and do better in the process.
Our expertise, ideas, and experiences are yours to use. We want to empower you to do your own thing.
Art and design are a universal language that breaks down barriers, tests assumptions, and visualizes what we all have in common.
We uphold honesty, transparency, and integrity at all costs.
Services
We drive brands to live up to their potential by challenging assumptions, driving emotion, and refining customer journeys.
