Preorder Policy

Some of our books and gifts are available to preorder and will not ship immediately. These products will be clearly labeled as a "Preorder" within the product description and/or headline. Once in stock, they will ship within 2-3 business days. "In Stock" dates are subject to change without notice. You may call or email to cancel your preorder before it ships. After shipping, our normal return policy applies. 


Return Policy

If you are not satisfied with your purchase from our site, you may return it up to 30 days after receipt. Please send your return to:

  • Include the original order number.
  • Please note that you are responsible for return shipping costs, we highly suggest adding a tracking number & requesting a signature for delivery to ensure your order has made it back to the warehouse.
  • Once your return is received & approved, a credit will be issued to the credit card used for payment of the original order.
  • Refunds typically take two weeks to process, but may take longer during exceptionally busy times.
  • Shipping charges will not be refunded.

All standard shipping costs and delivery times are automatically calculated at time of purchase.

Backorders will be charged immediately and dispatched as soon as they become available. You will receive tracking information by email when your order has been shipped.

All of our products are delivered by mail. Collection of goods is not optional. 

For the United States and Canada:

For orders shipping to Canada: GST, customs fees, and import duties are to be paid by the customer to the carrier before delivery.

Available items will be charged and dispatched immediately.

Backordered items will be charged immediately and dispatched as soon as they become available.

You will receive tracking information by email when your order has been shipped.

Delivery time is 3-4 business days for the East Coast and 5-6 business days for all other locations except AK, HI and VI (up to 8 days). Delivery times are approximate values stated by our delivery partners and cannot be guaranteed.

Payment

All list prices are inclusive of sales tax unless otherwise stated. Please note that national taxes may have to be paid on imports for deliveries outside the EU. We accept orders online with Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express. All transactions placed online are secure, using Shopify Secure payment technology to encrypt and protect your information during transit. Once we have processed an order, we safely discard credit card information.

Rush Orders

We're excited to fulfill your order. Please contact us at media@artandanthropology.com with your order number if you need to expedite delivery and we'll do our best to accommodate your request. Additional shipping and courier fees may apply. Orders will be delivered by mail, collection of goods is not optional. 

Delivery Conditions and Costs

In addition to the stated product prices, shipping fees may apply, which can be reviewed at checkout. For international deliveries, the customer is responsible for any additional taxes, customs fees, and import duties. We only deliver by mail. Collection of goods is not possible.

Changes to your order

We will do our best to accommodate changes to your order once it has been submitted. If you need to update the shipping address or wish to change the books you have ordered, you may need to request a cancellation and order again. If the parcel has already been shipped and you need to change the shipping address, you will need to contact the local delivery company once the parcel has arrived in the country of delivery.

Unable To Deliver Parcel

If for any reason our delivery partners are not able to deliver your parcel, it will be returned to the warehouse and automatically refunded. Shipping costs will not be refunded. A confirmation email of your refund will be sent to the email address on file. No replacement parcel will be sent out in this case.

Returns policy

Please note that online purchases cannot be returned to any stores. Our complete cancellation policy is listed above.

Damage During Shipping

Should articles be delivered with obvious shipping damage, you need to issue a complaint with the delivery service as soon as possible and send photos of the exterior of the shipping container & contents to the delivery service & us at media@artandanthropology.com within 3 days of receipt. Failure to file a complaint or make contact with us has no consequences for your legal rights and their enforcement, particularly your warranty rights. We will need the photos of the damaged box and/or contents in order to file our own claims against the shipping carrier and/or shipping insurance.
