A Mind-Blowing Time Capsule
At first glance, the Enhydro Quartz Sphere on the cover of ARQUIVSITAS looks like an ice planet floating through space. Icy, radiant, and suspended in time. This rare specimen contains fluid inclusions, tiny pockets of prehistoric water sealed within the quartz as it formed. It's not just beautiful; it's alive with deep time, a fitting metaphor for what ARQUIVISTAS offers. A collection of crystals that are archivists of Earth's story.
What Exactly Is an Enhydro Quartz Sphere?
Enhydro comes from the Greek words "en" (within), and "hydor" (water). When the quartz is polished into a sphere, the natural water inclusions become even more visible—air bubbles visibly drift through liquid that may be millions or even billions of years old.
Unlike water-filled geodes (also often called "enhydros"), quartz inclusions are fully sealed at the time of their formation. Curious to go deeper? We recommend the article "Enhydros" by Julian Gray, P.D, from the Georgia Mineral Society.
