8: A Visual Communication Design Show

"8: A Visual Communication Design Show" at Mount Saint Mary College brings together a multidisciplinary group of regional designers in New York's Hudson Valley. Curated by Christopher Neyen, the exhibition includes work by Angela Lian, Brock Daves, Casey Morris, Emily Garcia-Otero, Jason C. Otero, Jesse Ragan, Josh Mckible, and Philippe Safire.

Art & Anthropology Press '8' Exhibition Submissions

Five of the works submitted by Art & Anthropology Press include a modern series of 12"x18"prints, publication design, branding, higher education and community based design. Threshold No.1-9, are a series of prints Jason and I developed by pushing the minimum threshold of forms—the same process used throughout logo design. Using spare linear elements and a simplified color field, the compositions hover between open form and recognition.

The Opening Reception

Physically seeing the work together and hearing new perspectives was a reminder of how much is lost when we work and interact remotely. Thank you to Chris for inviting us to participate and to all of the designers for collaborating on such an engaging show. It's been a valuable opportunity to connect with you all.
